HIS STORY

We discovered Alonso nearly two years ago in the “Premio Cafeología” in Chiapas, Mexico. His coffee garnered special attention after placing well in this competition for the best farmers in Chiapas. Don Alonso is dedicated, serious, hardworking, and as a coffee grower by vocation, his passion resonates in every coffee that we taste from his farm. By partnering with CAFEÓLOGO to expand his opportunities and expertise, Alonso has made coffee farming a more dignified and sustainable work and life path.

THE FARM

Don Alonso has also been very generous and committed to the social dimension and ecological projects of CAFEÓLOGO. He has accompanied the team and supported the growth and sustainability of his local Tseltal community. Although he operates on a small farm, Alonso punches above his weight in the state of Chiapas. He has been an integral part of the development of the community wet mill in the region. His coffee is exquisite. He is an extraordinary person and a dedicated farmer. We are honored to share the fruits of his labor with the Harvest community. As it rightfully should, the coffee that you can buy on Harvest bears his name.
