Ato Tesfaye Bekele

Tesfaye, founder of Suke Quto Farm, has built a name for himself in Guji for his work on environmental and social issues, while producing some extraordinary coffees. After working for the government on environmental protection projects, he helped the Guji people rebuild from horrific bushfires that destroyed thousands of acres of farmland in the late ‘90s. His smile radiates and energizes everyone around him.

The rebirth is celebrated in the coffees that Suke Kuto delivers year after year. A pioneer in Guji, Tesfaye takes pride in his work to promote organic practices and produce some of the world’s highest quality coffee. He also continues to be a driving force for social impact in his community.

Tesfaye and the team at Suke Quto rebuilt the local school in partnership with some wonderful people in the coffee world. His leadership is an example to the entire supply chain. We are honored to be able to add value to his initiatives. His smile is contagious and radiates with his true passion to make the world a better place.
